Elastic AI Workforce
What if AI workers could scale the same way cloud infrastructure scales?
What if AI workers could scale the same way cloud infrastructure scales?
Traditional organizations have a relatively fixed number of employees.
Software infrastructure works differently. Compute resources can automatically increase when demand rises and disappear when demand falls.
My research explores applying a similar concept to AI agents.
If one request arrives, the system may require one specialized agent.
If twenty requests arrive, the platform could temporarily create additional AI workers, distribute the workload, and process requests in parallel.
When the work is complete, those temporary workers can be deactivated.
Each worker could receive:
- A unique workload identity
- A specific role
- Least-privilege permissions
- A defined task
- Temporary credentials
- Limited access to enterprise systems
- Complete activity logging
This creates the concept of an elastic AI workforce — autoscaling for digital workers.
